MixD !!
Some designers came in to college today , Mike and Phil. They gave us tips on designing and a insight of what it is like to be working out there in the commercial sector. The company is located in Harrogate and started out in 2004 , so its a fairly new company. I learnt today that my mood board doesn’t has to be 100% filled up and I can just stick in basic things like color palettes from dulux catalog, words that describe , textures (pictures or the real thing) , images relating to subject matter etc.
Some really nice stuff they have there !

Thanks for the post – we hope you found something useful during the morning.
No problem ! Yes I found out a lot of useful information this morning like how busy it can be finishing a project in one day or getting simple ideas from a mood board and incorporating them into the designs. The most important thing I learned is getting the designs down really quickly on paper, at the moment I’m getting it down on paper by pencil then filling it in by colour markers. Is it worth getting some ideas and inspiration from existing artists or stick to what the client needs are and do it in my own style, because some times I find it difficult to get some ideas.
